A Message from HouseProud Regarding COVID-19

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

As we are all adjusting to the unprecedented times we find ourselves in, we offer this update on HouseProud Atlanta and our service to communities.

First and foremost, HouseProud is committed to the health and safety of our clients and community as a whole. We are closely monitoring details about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and take very seriously the recommendations by the CDC and the World Health Organization to limit person-to-person contact. Health experts have identified seniors and those with immunodeficiencies as the most vulnerable to this virus. We are taking every precaution possible to protect our homeowners, contractors, volunteers and staff. Please be advised that HouseProud has halted tasks that require direct contact until April 1st. This adjustment impacts our contract work and volunteer-driven Community Impact Days (CID). Our team will re-evaluate this timeline based on recommendations from the CDC.

HouseProud values the relationships that we have established with our homeowners and partners, and we are keeping the lines of communication open as we navigate this situation. We are working diligently to put together a priority project list and comprehensive safety plan that will allow our seniors in need of emergency repairs to be served now and in the future without compromising their wellbeing. Though we may not be able to actively deliver services that many rely on during this time, HouseProud is committed to helping senior homeowners remain warm, safe, and dry in their homes.

Our team is very grateful to those who have contacted HouseProud to learn how they can help during these unique times. While we are limiting physical labor right now, making a financial contribution today is the best way to support the work we do. It is our hope that we can resume our normal operations as soon as possible in order to serve the community we hold so dear.
