Keeping Ms. Jane in the Home that She Loves

Ms. Jane has lived in her Atlanta home for nearly 30 years. As a single mother, Ms. Jnane was not sure how she would buy a home, so she took a chance on a house that was to be condemned. She worked day and night at her job with Marta to do the necessary repairs needed to make it livable. With a lot of love, sweat and tears she was able to bring the home back to life.

Now Ms. Jane is in her 70s and disabled. She no longer has the resources or the ability to keep up with the repairs. HouseProud has been able to help her maintain her home by tending to much-needed plumbing repairs, building a new fence, repainting, and planting flowers in the yard. By sharing her story, Ms. Jane was able to connect six of her senior neighbors with HouseProud to receive much needed services. HouseProud is working to keep proud seniors in the homes that they love – while revitalizing neighborhoods one home at a time.
